Puri, June 29: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday offered prayers to the Holy Trinity atop the Snana Bedi during the sacred Snana Purnima rituals at the Jagannath Temple in Puri. He prayed to Lord Jagannath for the prosperity of Odisha and the welfare of people across the world.

Speaking to reporters after the darshan, the Chief Minister said he sought the blessings of Mahaprabhu for the smooth and successful conduct of the upcoming Rath Yatra.

Later in the day, Chief Minister Majhi visited the Rath Khala to review the progress of the chariot construction work for the annual Rath Yatra. He interacted with the Chief Vishwakarma and sought details about the ongoing construction. The Chief Minister expressed admiration after observing the traditional brake mechanism of the chariots.

His visit was warmly received by the artisans and servitors engaged in the construction work. Majhi also interacted with the craftsmen to enquire about any challenges they were facing and assured them of all necessary support to ensure the timely completion of the three chariots ahead of the world-famous Rath Yatra.
