Keonjhar, Dec 17: A professional snake catcher of Keonjhar district has died after a viper attacked him all of sudden. The rare incident came to fore in the evening at Salabani village under Anandpur police limit, after the doctor declared the snake catcher dead. The deceased has been identified as Daitari Nath. Sources said, Daitari is a snake help-liner who catches venomous snakes easily and release them safely in the forest. However, his snake catching operation became fatal for him. He caught a viper from a house and left for the village forest to release the reptile in the nearest forest. Meanwhile, the viper accidentally bit him frequently near his wrist. As a result, he became unconscious at the spot. Being informed, locals carried him to Anandpur hospital immediately for resuscitation. The attending doctor declared him dead.
