Smuggled gold worth Rs 10 lakh seized at Bhubaneswar airport

Bhubaneswar: The Air Intelligence Unit of Customs again seized smuggled gold worth Rs 10 lakh from two passengers at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here today.
The Customs officials seized 340 grams of gold worth Rs 10 lakh from the two passengers while it was being smuggled to Chennai from Kuala Lumpur.
The two passengers have been detained and being interrogated.
Earlier on several occasions, Customs sleuths had seized gold being smuggled by people arriving at the Bhubaneswar airport from Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
