Puri, May 25: Sri Jagannath Temple Administration on Wednesday has urged the servitors for not standing before the Trinity during special rituals of Srimandir. The servitors on the other hand assured all co-operations to facilitate common darshan on special occasions including Rath yatra, Bahuda, Snana Yatra,Hatibesa along with other significant rituals. Sources said, in order to expedite darshan of the Trinity for the common devotees on the coming Jalalagi rituals and the annual sojourn, after over two and half year, the SJTA and Puri district administration held a number of meetings with the servitors and Chhatisa Nijog officials. Amid discussions, it was requested to the unity of servitors to cooperate in the public darshan, not appearing in front of the deities. According to a SJTA official, devotees can’t have a better darshan as the servitors used to stand before the deities in almost all festivities of the Jagannath cult while performing their services during special rituals of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. Chhatisa Nijog officials and the unity of servitors agreed on the proposal, in a fresh discussion held on Wednesday.
