Six including two minors held for quack’s murder in Ganjam

Khallikote, Nov 21: As many as six persons including two minors were arrested for the alleged murder of a quack in Badapalli under Khallikote police limits in Ganjam district. The accused have been identified as Anil Kumar Sabar of Gunduripalli village, Jitendra Sabar of Nuagan, Ravindra Sabar of Nuapalli village, Jogi Sabar of Badapalli and two minors. Khallikote Police have seized a sword from their possession. According to the information, the incident took place while one Anil Kumar Sabar of Gunduri Palli village had gone to the quack Jay Kumar Mohanty of Sankuda village for treatment. After primary check-up, the quack informed Anil that Rs 600 will be spent on his treatment. However, Anil expressed his incapability to pay the amount and requested the quack for his treatment. The incident took an ugly turn when the quack denied the treatment without any fee. In between an argument, Anil and his friends attacked the quack with a sword and killed him. After 48 hours after the murder, police arrested the six accused and sent the two minors to the reformatory.
