Bhubaneswar, Aug 11: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo today reviewed the implementation of flagship schemes of the Energy Department-PM Surya Ghar and PM-KUSUM.
Singh Deo said Odisha stands resolute in its pursuit of a sustainable, self-reliant energy future—where innovation meets inclusion, and every household and farmer is empowered through renewable solutions.
In PM Surya Ghar yojana, total 1,28,336 applications have been received, out of which 1,27,820 applications’ feasibility have been approved and 33.6 MW capacity has already been installed.
In the PM-KUSUM scheme, 50 MW capacity has been approved by OERC.
Deputy CM Singh Deo also stressed upon the quick redressal of the grievances by the department, especially those brought on the CM Grievance.
He directed to conduct performance review of the vendors in a regular basis. The bad performers can be deregistered.
Energy Secretary Vishal Dev, FA-cum-Special Secretary Debidutta Tripathy, Additional Secretary Saidutta Biplab Keshari Pradhan and senior officials from OREDA, TP Central Odisha, and the Energy Department gave their insightful updates and strategic roadmap to accelerate implementation.
