Shocking! Woman commits suicide with five daughters after quarrel with husband over liquor

Nuapada, June 11: A woman committed suicide last night with her five daughters following her alcoholic husband's alleged harassment against them. The shocking incident took place in Mahasamunda district of Chhattisgarh bordering to Nuapada district of Odisha. The deceased have been identified as Uma (40), Arnapurna (18), Yasodha (16), Bhoomika (14), Kumkum (12), Tulsi (10). Sources said, Kejauram Sahu came home drunk as usual and picked up a quarrel with the family members. He also harassed his wife and daughters inhumanly. Frustrated upon day-to-day nuisance, the woman along with her five daughters committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train. The officials said that both the bodies were severed into pieces after being hit by the train. The police have shifted the bodies to the local hospital for post-mortem.
