Sharp rise in daily Covid count raises concern in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Mar 25: A total of 214 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the health department said on Thursday. This was the highest rise in the number of cases in a day in Odisha in the last two months raising concern regarding the return of Corona wave in the state. Out of the 214 fresh cases, 126 were quarantine cases and 88 local contacts. While highest 33 cases were reported from Khordha district, Cutttack and Balangir districts reported 20 cases each. The total positive cases in the state reached 3,39,460 in the state with detection of the fresh cases. Odisha has now 1151 active cases and 3,36,337 persons have recovered from the disease so far.
