Bhubaneswar, August 26: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced temporary changes to several train services in the Khurda Road Division due to safety-related modernisation work at Kenduapada station.

The work is being carried out to facilitate the commissioning of the third railway line in the Kenduapada–Bhadrak–Cuttack section. To ensure the safe and smooth execution of the project, some trains will remain cancelled, while others will be short-terminated or short-originated on specified dates.

Trains Cancelled

The following trains will remain cancelled on August 29 and 30, 2026:

• 68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU
• 68437 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU

Trains Short-Terminated/Short-Originated

The following services will undergo temporary changes:

• 68424 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU will be short-terminated at Jajpur Keonjhar Roadon August 29 and 30.
• 68423 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU will be short-originated from Jajpur Keonjhar Road (JJKR)on August 29 and 30.
• 18037 Kharagpur–Jajpur Keonjhar Road Express will be short-terminated at Bhadrak from August 27 to 29.
• 18038 Jajpur Keonjhar Road–Kharagpur Express will be short-originated from Bhadrak from August 28 to 30.
• 18021 Kharagpur–Khurda Road Express will be short-terminated at Bhadrak from August 27 to 30.
• 18022 Khurda Road–Kharagpur Express will be short-originated from Bhadrak from August 27 to 30.

East Coast Railway has urged passengers to take note of the temporary changes and plan their journeys accordingly.

Passengers are advised to check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES)or the official Indian Railways website for the latest information on train schedules and operational changes before starting their journey.
