Seventh Int’l Yoga Day: Odisha stretches for wellbeing

Puri: Renowned sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture to mark International Yoga Day on Monday at the Puri beach of Odisha. The sand sculpture, which depicted various stages of 'Surya Namaskar', also came with a message “Yoga For Well-Being". To promote the mind and body practice with historical origins in ancient Indian philosophy, social media was flooded with the many messages, photos and videos of different yoga asanas and celebrations. Pattnaik tweeted, “#YogaForWellness. On #InternationalDayOfYoga My SandArt of #SuryaNamaskar with message “Yoga For Well-Being “at Puri beach in Odisha. #YogaDay2021.” Moreover, Sand artist Manas Sahoo also created a sand art on the same beach to mark the day. wp:gallery {"ids":[119051],"linkTo":"none"} /wp:gallery Union Petroleum Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan also gave a message through social media and tweeted, “Nothing makes mornings more refreshing than the daily dose of Yoga .
