Bhubaneswar, Mar 21: Seven out of total 36 public sector undertaking in Odisha are running on loss, admitted the state government in the assembly on Saturday. Grid Corporation (Gridco) and Odisha Rural Housing Development Corporation Limited (ORHDC) top the list of loss making PSUs. Altogether, thirty six corporations are owned by the government. Of them, seven are running on loss and 26 are making profit, while one corporation is operating on “no loss, no profit” basis. Public Enterprise Minister Ashok Chandra Panda informed the assembly. Gridco is running on a loss of Rs 1352.14 crore while Odisha Rural Housing Development Corporation Limited (ORHDC) has incurred a loss of Rs 39.10 crore. The other loss making PSUs are: Idcol Kalinga Iron Works Limited (3.45cr), IDCOL Ferrochrome and Alloys Limited (22.76cr), Odisha Fisheries Development Corporation (20,98,123.37/-), Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (0.67cr), Odisha State Finance Corporation (2.35 cr)
