​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, January 3: Security personnel and intelligence wings of the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, seized a cache of imported quality marijuana from a passenger on Saturday.

The passenger, arriving from Bangkok was detained after the contraband was recovered from his possession.

Acting on inputs, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) intercepted the passenger at the BPIA and recovered around 8 kilograms of marijuana from his luggage.

The seized marijuana is estimated to have an international market value of approximately Rs 8 crore.

Further investigation is underway to crack the network of peddlers and the targeted delivery points in Odisha.
