Section 144 imposed around this temple to contain spread of Covid-19

Berhampur, April 13: The district administration clamped Section 144 during the ‘Ghata’ procession of Maa Budhi Thakurani here on Tuesday after two priests of the temple tested positive for Covid-19. The administration has sealed the route from Buddhi Thakurani temple to the Desibehera Street. The district administration has also banned public gathering in front of the temple. If anyone found violating the prohibitory order, stringent action will be taken against the concerned person, the administration said. The administration has alerted the public and spread awareness. The area around the temple has been declared a containment zone. So far, a total of 4,400 Covid-19 positive cases have been detected in the Berhampur Municipality area. As many as 3,589 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the infection in the town. The number of active cases stands at 751.
