Puri, June 21: The district administration has clamped down section 144 at different places ahead of Snana Purnima to restrict movement of people in view of Covid-19.
The restrictions will remain in force from Wednesday, 10 pm till Friday, 2pm.
Not more than 5 people shall be allowed to gather at one place and there will be a complete bar on holding any kind of public meetings or rallies during the period of operation of this order.
Earlier on Sunday, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) finalised the schedule of the rituals for the annual Ratha Jatra.
According to the schedule, the Pahandi will start at 8.30 am and the Chariot pulling will begin at 3 pm. The Chhera Panhara (Sweeping of chariots by Gajapati Maharaja with a golden broom ) rituals will be held between 12.45 pm and 2pm.
The Ratha Jatra will be held without the participation of devotees on July 12.
