G. Udayagiri, Nov 4: The decision has been taken to suspend the search operation in Gidipabali village under G. Udayagiri.

Earlier today, the Collectors of Kandhamal and Ganjam districts held discussions with the families of the 11 missing persons from Gidipabali village. During the interaction, the family members shared their concerns and discussed the next course of action with the district administration.

According to the decisions taken during the meeting, the last rites and post-death rituals of those who lost their lives will be performed in accordance with their respective religious customs.

The administration also clarified that families wishing to settle in Ganjam district will be allowed to stay there, while those preferring to remain in Kandhamal district will be accommodated accordingly.

Additionally, the administration has assured support for the education and other essential expenses of the twin children of the deceased, Salman.

Meanwhile, the bodies of 11 victims that remain unidentified will be buried, as their identities could not be established.

The district administration has assured the affected families of necessary support and assistance during this difficult time.
