Bhubaneswar: All schools, both Government and private, in five districts-Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Bhadrak and Dhenkanal- have been declared closed for today in view of incessant rains.
District Collectors of these districts announced closure of all schools in view of continuing rains occurring for the last two days and prediction that rains will continue for the day.
However, they asked all teachers and employees to remain present in schools during the working hours on the day.
Notably, a low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal has triggered rainfall in the most places in the southern region and at some places in other coastal districts.
Meteorological Regional Office, Bhubaneswar has predicted that moderate rainfall will continue in southern and coastal districts till October 26.
