Koraput, Nov 13: Salur Legislator in an alleged conspiracy to include Kotia group of villages in Andhra Pradesh has started a signature campaign in Odisha territory, said sources. After a few days of the Chief Minister level discussion on the Kotia border dispute between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, Salur MLA’s venture to gather public support on the matter has raised many eyebrows in Odisha. ‘Mo Kotia’ social organization and local public representatives alleged that the Salur MLA is creating platforms in Odisha to incline the aborigins of Kotia villages towards the Andhra administration in the name of social welfare. Earlier, the MLA had managed to organize meetings of Andhra Officials with the SP. According to the locals, some Andhra officials are taking signatures of Kotia people on plain papers. Ignorant inhabitants are putting their thumb impressions and signatures blindly as they think that the Andhra government will include them as beneficiaries for welfare schemes. If the signature campaign of Andhra Pradesh gets successful, the neighboring state may show it as a document revealing public interest towards Andhra Pradesh.
