Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: Sale of vehicles in Odisha has grown by 22% in September as compared to August, informed the State Transport Authority (STA).
The state recorded sale of more than 48887 in September. Sale of vehicles was 43319 in June and 39213 in July. Similarly 40037 units of vehicles were sold in the month of August.
“About 4800 vehicles have been registered under transport category and about 44000 vehicles have been registered under non transport category. Two wheelers constitute the major sales with 36000 while 4257 number of cars has also been sold during September. The sale of tractors stood at 1569. The sale is expected to go up further with festive season of Dushera and Diwali in October and November,” said the STA.
