Rs 1.47 crore more found in bank accounts of tainted IFS's son

Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: The Vigilance has unearthed cash deposits of Rs.1.47 crore of Akash Kumar Pathak at Bhubaneswar and Pune. Pathak was arrested along with his father, senior IFS Abhay Kant Pathak for amassing disproportionate assets.  “The total amount of deposits in his three banks has gone up to Rs17.52 crore. Besides, the specimen handwriting of Abhay Kant Pathak and Akash Kumar Pathak has been collected for examination and comparison during investigation. Scrutiny of CCTV footages and seized documents is continuing,” said an official. Vigilance sleuths have found the senior IFS of having of disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs9.35 crore. Officials said that the disproportionate assets traced so far are 435% of his total income.
