<strong>RPF felicitates heirs of martyred Freedom fighters in Khordha</strong>

Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: Railway Police Force (RPF), Khurda Division has felicitated the heirs of the martyred freedom fighters in view of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav. On an occasion organised by the RPF authorities at the cradle land of valiant hero Jayi Rajguru at Khordha, the locals paid rich tributes to the great freedom fighter and the wing commander of the Paikas in Odisha  Jayi Rajguru, the first captive of the Khordha district, Biswanath Samant, Ramsingh,Prafulla Kumar Srichandan, the prime associate of Rajguru,  Sardar Loknath Baliarsingh, another associate of Buxi Jagabandhu,Dumduma Dalbehera, Mir Hyder Alli and valiant paik leader Bishnu Harichandan. The heirs of the ace patriots were felicitated by the RPF officials with turbans, mementos and national flag. {"id":206032,"width":834,"height":421,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} Apart from it, historian Satyabadi Baliarsingh was felicitated for his lifetime achievement on conservation of history of the Khordha Gada with his literature. Addressing the audience on the significance of the paik heroes of Khordha, Baliarsingh said that the RPF reminds the Paik Rebellion-1817 with the recognition ceremony organised almost every year, to inspire the next generations of the martyrs. Among others, the General Secretary of Kalinga Paika Sangathan, Krishnachandra Harichandan, Advisor Bhimsen Pradhan, Engineer Sisir Kumar Nayak, Soumya Harichandan, Columnist Samarendra Baliarsingh and Swetanjina Pradhan offered floral tributes to the freedom fighters.
