Balangir, Oct 22: The roof of the Balangir Samaleswari temple has collapsed on Friday.

However, no devotees or servitors sustained injuries in the mishap, said the temple authorities.

Sources said the roof of the Samaleswari temple was under unsafe conditions. Lack of proper care and timely maintenance had resulted in tears and cracks in the inner roof of the temple.

The age-old roof collapsed in the noon while a number of devotees and servitors were present in the temple complex. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident.
