Rise in Covid-19 cases among medicos defer MBBS exams at VIMSAR

Burla, Jan 14: Veer Surendra Sai Institute Of Medical Sciences And Research (VIMSAR) Burla decided to defer the MBBS examinations amid rising Covid-19 cases in the state officials said on Friday. VIMSAR authorities has released an important notice regarding the postponement of the MBBS examination. The exams which were scheduled to be conducted from tomorrow have been postponed till future notice. Moreover, as many as 20 doctors and several medical staff of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) at Burla in Sambalpur district have tested positive for Covid-19. Notably, the third wave in the state is not being driven by Omicron, instead, Delta continues to be the dominant variant of concern.
