Rigor after administering fluid:15 diarrhoea affected turn critical in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur, May 16: At least 15 diarrhoea patients turned critical after they were administered fluid(normal saline) in Jagatsinghpur District headquarters hospital on Monday. As they complained of abnormal rigors following the fluid, they were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The incident came to the fore in the epidemic ward of the hospital in the afternoon when a number of inpatients admitted with diarrhoea reported rigors after they received the normal saline fluids. Acting on it, they were referred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack for resuscitation.
