Bhopal, Jan 24: Revolt in the ruling BJP itself over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). Eighty leaders have resigned from various organisational posts in Madhya Pradesh over the burning issues. Minority leaders of BJP Minority Cell belonging to Indore, Khadgan, Dewas and Maho areas have disapproved the party's stand over CAA and NRC. They have also condemned the ongoing debate concerning Hindus and Muslims. According to them, the country at present is confronted with several prime issues like economy and unemployment, which need immediate solution. On the other hand, there should be an immediate stop to the ongoing debate on the issues like Ram temple, Babri mosque, abolition of Article 370 and Triple Talaq. A negative scenario has arisen after the emergence of issues like CAA and NRC, said BJP's minority leaders from Indore Wasim Iqbal Khan and Manzur Ahmed. " It will create hatred in the minds of 85 percent people", they argued. Opposition Congress considers the resignation of 80 leaders of BJP Minority Cell in Madhya Pradesh expressing resentment against party's stand on CAA and NRC as a significant development. The recently passed CAA, that has provided citizenship status to non-muslim refugees of three countries, will create social divide, apprehend the Opposition leaders.
