Puri, Jan 28: Chhatisa Nijog of Puri Jagannath temple is in favour of reopening the shrine for the common visitors amid Corona protocols. In a meeting convened on Friday, the senior members suggested the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to allow common visitors and devotees from February first. According to the Nijog officials, the livelihood of servitors, traders, and petty vendors has been badly affected due to the shutdown of the temple for the outsiders. However, the decision of the SJTA and the Puri District Administration is yet to come out, in this connection. Worth mentioning, Puri Shree Jagannath temple remained shut for the visitors from January for the surge of Corona and Omicron cases across the state.
