Regional Conference on Replication of Good Governance: 22 citizen-centric models presented in two-day programme

Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: The Regional Conference on Good Governance has been concluded on Saturday. As many as twenty-two successfully applied best practices were presented and discussed in the 2-day long ‘Regional Conference on Replication of Good Governance Practices’organised at the Lokasewa Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The second day of the Regional Conference on Replication of Good Governance Practices witnessed the presentation of seven best practices from the States of Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Assam. The first session was held under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Home, Government of Odisha Sanjeev Chopra, and the second session was held under the Chairmanship of Special Secretary NITI AAYOG K. Rajeswar Rao. While the third session of the day was dedicated to the valedictory ceremony and concluding session.                               The best practices presented in the conference related to the citizen centric initiatives like Mo Sarkar and 5T of Odisha, Ensuring last mile delivery of services to the needy from Siddarthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh; SAFA App for provision of services at the door-step from Ganjam district of Odisha, Millet Mission for empowering small and marginal farmers from MARKFED of Odisha,  Decentralized system of micro composting centers and material recovery facilities for efficient waste management from Housing and urban development department of Odisha, Water conservation project applied in Solapur district of Maharashtra,  SOIL-The SOUL of Life from Sivaganga district of Tamilnadu, Sakshyam Surajpur  from Surajpur district of Chhatisgrah, E-Sanjeevani, an integrated telemedicine solutions from C-DAC; Expanding e-governance through passport sevakendra of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Clean Energy Initiative from department of Bio-Technology, Government of India,  Seamless service delivery from EPFO, Cashless Haryana from the department of IT, Haryana, Business Transforming IT tools of Madhya Pradesh, Poshan umbrella for supply chain through Tech-innovation from the department of Women and Child Development of Gujarat,  Rajasthan Agricultural competitiveness project from Agriculture Commission of Rajasthan,Zero pendency from Jalndhar district of  Punjab,Reach-out a programme to redress public grievance in lesser time from Kasaragod district of  Kerala, One district-One Number from Sambalpur district of  Odisha and Improving service delivery and redressal of public grievances from  Sirohi district of  Rajsthan.              The presentations in the conference included six best practices from Odisha namely Mo Sarkar, 5-T, SAFA App, Millet Mission, Micro Composting centers in urban bodies, and one district and one program. Besides, the guest speakers from the Government of India also highlighted the best practices of Odisha like the OSWAN office automation system, e-office, disaster management, the center of excellence in sports, and time-bound online delivery of major public services under the Right to Public Services Act as known best practices.              The senior officers from fifteen northeastern and eastern states namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Sikkim, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Chhatisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha participated in it. This two days event was held in eight sessions including the inaugural and valedictory session. The conference was held in both the physical and virtual modes.
