Malkangiri, Oct 17: Security personnel have busted a red camp and seized a huge cache of firearms in Malkangiri on Sunday. Acting on reliable intelligence, Special Operation Group(SOG),District Volunteer Force(DVF) and Border Security Force(BSF) undertook a joint combing operation in Tulasi hill under Mathili police limit on Saturday. Meanwhile, the red militants opened fire towards the security personnel. Jawans answered it with mass firing.As a result mao- cadres decamped from the spot. Subsequently, during inventory as many as 8 detonators ,dry cell,mao-literature and mao-related goods were seized from the camp,said Malkangiri SP. Another operation is on to track out the whereabouts of the militants, he added.
