Kazan, October 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kazan, reiterated India's willingness to provide any possible assistance to help resolve the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Modi emphasized the importance of resolving disputes peacefully and expressed India's commitment to supporting peace and stability.
The meeting held just before the 16th BRICS Summit, highlighted the close ties between India and Russia, with Modi expressing gratitude for Putin's friendship and hospitality.
He also noted that India's historical connection with Kazan would be strengthened by the opening of a Consulate General of India in the city.
PM Modi praised the successful leadership of Russia within the BRICS association and noted the growing global interest in joining the group.
As part of the BRICS summit discussions, leaders are expected to focus on key global issues, including multilateralism, climate change, and economic cooperation.
The outcomes of these discussions will be reflected in the Kazan Summit Declaration.
