Readiness for 3rd wave: State to form district level taskforce

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: In view of the third wave of Covid-19, the Odisha government is going to constitute taskforces at the district level. Additional Chief Secretary Health PK Mohapatra has issued notifications to the Collectors in this connection on Thursday. According to the correspondences, district-level taskforces will be formed in the aegis of the Collector. It will comprise the Chief Medical Officer, Public Health Officer, Anesthesiologists and physicians who will take stock of the probable third wave. Meanwhile, the infrastructures for child care will be developed as the third wave is likely to affect the children. Apart from it, the authorities of urban bodies have been informed to get ready for the possible third wave.
