Rayagada girl wins gold in world chess boxing championship in Turkey

Muniguda, Nov 25: B. Vinila of Bissam Cuttack of Rayagada district has brought glory for the country after winning gold medal in the fourth world chess boxing championship held at Antalya in Turkey. Vinila, daughter of B.Biseswar Rao is currently pursuing +2 at Sanskruthi Global School, Vishakapatnam.     Vinila was interested in chess since her school days and later she took interest in boxing and joined a chess-boxing training institute in Visakhapatnam.  As both the games were her favourite, she decided to continue chess boxing. After making the country proud Vinila said, “My first step towards success was playing for Andhra Pradesh and being selected for international level after winning the national chess boxing competition held at Ahmedabad, Gujurat. I would like to express my gratitude to my parents, my coach for this success. I will continue my hard work to represent India in chess boxing and bring glory for my country. In the future, I have an aim to join the National Defense Academy (NDA) and serve for my country.”
