Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: Opening of Ratna Bhandar (treasury trove) of Puri Jagannath temple will be decided after discussion with the concerned officials, said the Law Minister, Jaganath Sarka on Friday. "Neither you nor I have seen the condition of Ratna Bhandar. An appropriate decision will be taken regarding the opening of the treasure trove after reviewing the ASI letter," the Minister said. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has written a letter to the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) asking for repair of the Ratna Bhandar. However, nobody has seen the status of the Ratna Bhandar so far, said the Minister. However, he said that the Ratna Bhandar is safe and its valuable treasury is also intact.
