Bhubaneswar, June 27: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati and Odisha CM Mohan Majhi on Friday greeted people on sacred Rath Yatra.
In an X post, the President extended best wishes to all the countrymen and prayed for everyone's happiness, peace and prosperity. "On the sacred occasion of Rath Yatra, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all devotees of Mahaprabhu Jagannath residing across the country and abroad.
As the divine chariots carry Lord Balabhadra, Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and the Sudarshan Chakra through the grand procession, lakhs of devotees experience an overwhelming sense of divine bliss and spiritual ecstasy upon beholding the deities atop their majestic chariots.
The unique essence of Rath Yatra lies in the human-like leelas of the Lords, which bridge the celestial and the mortal worlds. The festival symbolises inclusivity and unity, reminding us that divinity walks among us. On this holy day, I earnestly pray before Mahaprabhu Jagannath for enduring peace, harmony, and brotherhood across the world," the President said.
