Bhubaneswar, June 14: Celebrating Raja festival without having a Paan (betel) is incomplete, and eating Paan is a part of the festival. So the betel shop owners come up with a variety of paan with different flavours. People were seen waiting to buy the mouth-watering betels.
Here are two places in Bhubaneswar where you can get ‘Raja Paan’:
Ranjan Sahoo at CRP Square: He has been selling paan since last 32 years. The specialty of Ranjan’s shop is the different shapes of Paan. He sells Paan in different shapes ranging between Rs 10 and Rs 170. He uses spices (Paan Masala) like Gabha Jeli, orange jelly, and many more.
Siddheswar bhai of Jagamara is known for selling quality paans. His regular customers say they are satisfied with his service. During Raja celebration, unique paans by Siddheswar Bhai make a difference for thousands of Odia people. His shop offers about seven varieties, including Banarasi paan, flavoured paan and Kasturi paan.
