Bhubaneswar: A spell of about two hours’ rain battered traffic and normal life at different places in the capital city this morning.
The rains occurred under the influence of a low pressure in the Bay of Bengal submerged roads at Soubhagya Nagar, Rasulgarh and ISKCON Temple here.
While water was flowing four feet above the road at the ISKCON Temple, Soubhagya Nagar witnessed three-feet-high water stagnation.
A car, motorbike and a scooty were submerged in the rainwater in front of the temple. Devotees faced a lot of problem while they were moving in a queue to have darshan of Lord Shri krishna on the occassion of Janmastami.
While residents faced difficulties in Soubhagya Nagar, vehicular movement was disrupted on the Cuttack Road between Bomikhal and Rasulgarh Square.
