Rainfall activity likely to intensify in Odisha from Oct 1: IMD

Bhubaneswar, Sept 27: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that the rainfall activities in Odisha are likely to intensify from October 1. As per the regional center of the IMD here, thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rainfall are also likely to lash a few districts of Odisha on September 28 and 29. The districts are Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj district. Also, thunderstorm with lightning is likely to continue in the State for the next three days under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and neighborhood area.
