New Delhi, Aug 9: In a tragic incident, at least eight people were killed under collapsed wall in Delhi due to heavy shower on Saturday.
The incident took place in Delhi's Hari Nagar area this morning, officials said.
The victims were identified as Shabibul (30), Rabibul (30), Muttu Ali (45), Rubina (25), Dolly (25), Rukhsana (6) and Haseena (7).
The precise cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained. However, incessant rain is anticipated to be the reason, officials said.
According to sources, the Delhi Fire Services received a call regarding a wall collapse. Fire service brigades rushed to the spot and recovered as many as 8 people from under the debris and carried them to hospital for resuscitation.However, doctors received them all dead.
Worth mentioning, the national capital recorded heavy rain overnight, causing waterlogging in several areas. However, the Hari Nagar tragedy wreaked a shock wave in the city on Rakshya Bandhan that claimed 8 lives under concreted boulders in the very morning.
