Rahul undergoing physiotherapy, uncertain about his discharge, say doctors

Raipur, June 23: 11-year-old Rahul Sahu who was rescued out of an 80-feet bore well in Janjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh after he spent over five days in it, is now recovering slowly.

Rahul is currently being treated at the Apollo Hospital in Bilaspur and is undergoing physiotherapy to strengthen and rebuild muscles. Rahul’s health is also under observance of a 5-doctors team

Though Rahul is showing signs of improvement in his health, the hospital authorities have not made any clarification on discharge of Rahul. However, his father Ram Kumar has said that Rahul will be discharged in three-four days.

The doctors treating Rahul have said that initially, they were doubtful whether he would respond to treatment or not as the young boy had various infections and injuries. Rahul was also suffering from pneumonia as half of his body was submerged in water for five days inside the bore well.

However, fortunately, Rahul was seen cooperating with doctors and is recovering now at a stable rate.

Worth mentioning, the 11- year boy Rahul was rescued from an 80 feet deep bore well after a 104-hour-long operation on June 14. Notably, Rahul Sahu had fallen into the abandoned bore well located in the backyard of his house in Pihrid village of Malkharoda block in Janjgir Champa district of Chattisgarh, on June 10.
