Puri, June 1: The chariots of Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra on Friday evening reached the Srigundicha temple here.
Taladhwaja, the chariot of Old Balabhadra along with Goddess Subhasra’s Devadalana reached the destination and were parked in front of Srigundicha temple before the scheduled time.
Frenzied devotees pulled the chariots along the Bada Danda (Grand Road) from near the Jagannath Tempe’s Lions Gate up to the Gundicha Temple.
Though Taladhwaja and Devidalan reached the destination , Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha was still being pulled by the devotees till the filing of the report.
Earlier, following the Pahandi ritual and the Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb’s traditional Chhera Pahnara, the chariot pulling began at around 12:05 pm one after another.
Lord Balabhadra’s chariot Taladhwaj reached the Gundicha Temple first, followed by Goddess Subhadra’s Darpadalan.
However, the chariot of Lord Jagannath, the Nandighosa is on the way so far said a senior servitor.
