Bhubaneswar, July 30:While the Puri police are yet to solve the jumble involving a minor girl’s suspicious burn, the victim’s statement was recorded on Wednesday, for the third time.
According to the Puri SP, the victim minor girl’s testimony was again recorded at AIIMS New Delhi, after the local court’s permission.
The process was conducted in the presence of a Magistrate as per directions from the Safdarjung Court.
According to sources, DSP Kalpana Kanhar who is the Investigating Officer (IO) of the sensitive case documented the statement digitally in presence of treating doctors and family members.
Puri SP Pinak Mishra confirmed that today’s statement of the girl will be crucial for the ongoing probe.The investigation has reached its final phase.
“Based on the declaration of the victim, we will reach at the miscreants soon”, the SP added.
Worth mentioning, on July 25, the minor victim’s statement was recorded in the AIIMS Delhi as per law, for better clues regarding the miscreants who charred the girl and for why.
