Puri artist crafts Lord Jagannath’s Hathi Besha Idols

Puri, June 22: Puri’s Kumuti-Patana based artist, Biswajit Nayak has crafted ‘Hathi Besha’ using ice-cream sticks. When the devotees will not be able of having a divine glance of the rare Hathi Besha of Lord Jagannath this year at the Jagannath temple due to the ongoing pandemic protocols imposed by the State Government, this artist presented the beautiful idol of Lord Jagannath. Biswajit has used 1,475 ice-cream stick to create the idol. It took him 15 days to complete the work of art. While its height is of 30 inches, width is of 26 inches. Earlier, he amazed devotees by creating the sculpture of Nandighosh Rath of Lord Jagannath.
