Chandigarh, Dec 6: Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced on Sunday that he will contest the upcoming Punjab assembly elections in alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and Dhindsa's party, which rebelled against the Akali Dal. Captain Singh made this announcement after meeting with senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. "Our aim is to win Punjab assembly elections and we will," Singh said during a press conference in Chandigarh. Worth mentioning, Captain Amarinder Singh left Congress after he resigned as the Chief Minister of Punjab due to a power struggle with state Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu.
