G Udayagiri, June 9: A public grievance hearing was organized by the district administration at the G Udayagiri block auditorium in Kandhamal district.

Kandhamal District Collector Vedabhushan attended the programme and personally heard various issues and complaints raised by members of the public.

Other officials present included Baliguda Sub-Collector Pranita Das, Project Administrator of PAITDA Baliguda Krupasindhu Behera, and IAS probationer Yashkaran Singh. Altogether, 61 grievances were received and heard during the session.

Out of these, 12 were related to land disputes, 8 to housing schemes, 7 to developmental works, 4 each to old-age pensions, drinking water, road issues, and health concerns. Additionally, 3 complaints were related to the PDS system, 1 to the excise department, and 14 fell under miscellaneous categories.

The Collector carefully reviewed each complaint and directed concerned departmental officials to immediately verify and ensure swift resolution.

He further stated that the administration remains committed to ensuring effective delivery of government schemes to the public and timely redressal of grievances.
