Puri, Oct 14: The Puri Srimandir will remain closed on Dussehra this year. The ‘Sunabesha’ of the Trinity will be performed on the day.
Moreover, the devotees will be allowed for darshan of the Trinity till Saturday 12 noon.
The Puri administration will also impose Section 144 around the temple to maintain the law and order situation during this period.
“The Prohibitory restrictions will remain in force at Marichikot and the temple premises,” informed Puri Collector.
The final phase of Durga Puja commenced in Sri Jagannath temple on Tuesday, October 12, (Saptami) and Wednesday, October 13, (Mahastami) amid strict Covid-19 protocols. Servitors performed Sodasha Upachar Puja of the deities without the presence of any devotee due to the restrictions. Shola Puja was also performed at Bimala temple situated on the South-East side of Srimandir.
