Properties worth Rs 4.73 crore unearthed from teacher in Rayagada

Bhubaneswar, Jan 29: The Vigilance has unearthed total assets worth around Rs 4.73 crore owned by Sisir Semeli, a teacher at the Block Education Office (BEO) in Rayagada. The Vigilance sleuths on Saturday conducted raids on Sisir’s properties on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. “Hard cash Rs 2.88 lakh, assets namely 2 triple storeyed buildings and 3 double storeyed buildings at Doraguda, Rayagada, Bank deposits of Rs 21.68 lakh, 2 four wheelers (Innova & Bolero), gold jewellery apprx 408 gms, silver jewellery of approximately 229 gms have been detected during house search so far,” said the Vigilance. {"id":162723,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"}
