Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today visited Bargarh district and inaugurated and laid foundation stone for projects worth Rs 2010.86 crore.
While 17 projects worth Rs 515 crore were inaugurated, foundation stone for as many as 32 projects were laid by the Chief Minister.
The key projects include Sohela-Nuapada stretch of Biju Expressway, Gangadhar Meher Lift Irrigation Project, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas and rural piped water projects.
Speaking at a farmers’ convention at Ichhapali, the Chief Minister highlighted the KALIA scheme for farmers and said no force can stop the flagship programme. He also raised the neglect of landless farmers, sharecroppers and agricultural labourers in Central schemes.
On Wednesday, Patnaik visited Puri district and inaugurated and laid foundation for projects worth Rs 523 crore, giving major boost to infrastructure, connectivity, drinking water and education. The key projects include mega drinking water supply projects, roads, bridges and a Skill Development Centre.
