Rourkela, Nov 11: In a tragic incident, a school principal in Rourkela collapsed on stage during a festival on the campus on Tuesday.
The incident took place at the MGM School at Jagada in Rourkela in the afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Dr. Jorge C Vargis.
According to reports, the MGM School at Jagada had organized the MGM Fest 2025 on the school campus.Today, was its valedictory ceremony wherein police DIG Brijesh Roy had joined as the Chief Guest. Meanwhile, the principal Vargis fell on the stage all of a sudden. He was rushed to the CWS Hospital for treatment. However, he was declared dead by the attending doctor.
A pall of gloom descended on the campus and also in the vicinity for the sudden demise of the principal.
