Bhubaneswar, July 16: President Droupadi Murmu, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday extended warm greetings to devotees on the occasion of the world-famous Rath Yatra, praying for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people.

In her message, President Murmu described Rath Yatra as a unique festival that symbolises the sacred bond between Lord Jagannath and His devotees. She said the annual chariot festival is a rare occasion when Lord Jagannath, along with Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Chakraraj Sudarshan, comes out of the temple to bless devotees, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity and divine grace.

Praying for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the nation, the President sought the blessings of Mahaprabhu for all and concluded her message with "Jai Jagannath."

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati also greeted devotees and pilgrims, invoking the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra for peace, happiness and prosperity.

He expressed hope that the annual festival would further strengthen the values of faith, unity, equality, brotherhood and humanity. The Governor prayed for the welfare of all and said the divine Rath Yatra should inspire people to uphold the ideals of harmony, compassion and social unity, while Lord Jagannath's blessings bring joy, peace and prosperity to every household. He concluded his message with "Jai Jagannath."

 

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartfelt wishes to the people of Odisha on the auspicious occasion and prayed for the state's continued peace, prosperity and progress.

Seeking the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, Majhi wished for the happiness and well-being of every Odia and the overall development of the state.

"With the infinite grace and blessings of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Maa Subhadra, may the state continue to prosper, every Odia lead a happy and prosperous life, and the welfare of all be ensured," the Chief Minister said in his message.
