Bhubaneswar, July 21: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a three-day visit to Odisha from August 3 to 5, covering Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Brahmapur and Taptapani in Ganjam district, according to a draft itinerary prepared by Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The proposed programme has been shared with the Odisha government and relevant departments to facilitate necessary preparations for the President's visit.

As per the draft schedule, President Murmu will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 2:10 pm on August 3 and stay at Lok Bhavan. Later in the day, she will travel to Cuttack to attend the inauguration of Jagadguru Kripalu University as the chief guest.

On August 4, the President will travel by a special train from Bhubaneswar to Brahmapur. From there, she is scheduled to proceed by road to Taptapani, where she will offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple.

Following the temple visit, President Murmu is expected to stay overnight at the Army Air Defence College in Gopalpur or another designated location, according to the draft programme.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements are being made in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Brahmapur ahead of the President's visit. Security personnel will be deployed along key routes, including the stretch from the airport to the event venues, while traffic management measures are also being put in place to ensure smooth movement.

The detailed schedule for the President's engagements on August 5 is expected to be announced once the itinerary is finalised.
