Patna, May 2: As the suspense regarding poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s decision of his further involvement in Indian politics continues, he on Monday posted a tweet hinting towards his plan to take a political plunge that will start from Bihar.
“My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy & help shape pro-people policy led to a 10yr rollercoaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE,to better understand the issues & the path to “ ”-Peoples Good Governance- starting from #Bihar ,” he tweeted.
The announcement has come within a week of his statement on Twitter that he had declined the Congress’ offer to join a group on strengthening the organization in the run-up to the 2024 general elections.
However, it is still not clear whether he will form a new party or will join an existing one.
Prashant Kishore had earlier stated that he will continue to be a part of the elections but will not join any political outfit in his earlier role.
Meanwhile, sources indicating that Prashant Kishore will be forming a new party have brought more confidence to his statement.
Prashant Kishor is not new to Bihar politics, as he was appointed as the vice president of the ruling Janata Dal-United led by the chief minister Nitish Kumar in 2018. However, in early 2020, he was expelled from the party for voicing his opinions against Nitish Kumar’s support for the Citizenship Amendment Act.
