Pramod Sahu remanded to Barimul jail for 14 days in sexual harassment case

Kendrapara, 4/11: Kendrapara Credit Cooperative Bank president Pramod Sahu, who had been arrest in sexual harassment case, was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days as his bail plea was rejected by the court. Sahu will stay in the Kendrapara District Jail during the above period. {"id":19967} A lady employee of the Bank had lodged a complaint against Bank president Sahu six months ago. However, police was not receiving the complaint following which the complainant filed a case in the court. alleging about police inaction which put the police and district administarion into tizzy. Late last night, police lifted Sahu away from his farm house for interrogation. He was finally arrested by the police today morning after night-long interrogation. {"id":19968} He was later produced before the Kendrapara Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court after his medical test. He was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days as his bail petition was rejected by the SDJM. {"id":19969} The victim and her mother have expressed satisfaction over the action. "We have full faith over judiciary' , they said praising the role of media in pursuing the case. However, they have apprehended revengeful attack on the family after the situation calmed down.
